ORIGIN OF THE PASTES/EMPANADA
The Pastes, originating in England, were introduced to Mexico by the English, initially in Real del Monte, Hidalgo.
The stories tell that the miners took this food as lunch to be able to grab the Paste by the edge and eat the rest in order to not ingest with their dirty hands.
The Pastes, originating from England, were introduced to Mexico by the English, initially in Real del Monte, Hidalgo. The Pastes 1900’s recipe is native to England and brought to Real del Monte in the late 19th century by María Rubio Nietchels, daughter of an English mother, who managed to preserve this delicious family tradition through the generations.

Los Pastes, originarios de Inglaterra, fueron introducidos a México por los ingleses, inicialmente en Real del Monte, Hidalgo.
Las historias cuentan que los mineros se llevaban este alimento como almuerzo para poder agarrar el paste por el borde y comerse el resto con la finalidad de no ingerir lo que ensuciaban con las manos.
La receta Pastes 1900’s es originaria de Inglaterra y traída a Real del Monte a finales del siglo XIX por María Rubio Nietchels, hija de madre inglesa, quién logró conservar esta deliciosa tradición familiar a través de las generaciones.
Es por esto que hoy en día en Pastes 1900’s llevamos la tradición a tu paladar.
